Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Tools By White Screen website and the online tools made available through it (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Description of the Service

Tools By White Screen provides free, browser-based utilities for working with images, PDFs, and text. All processing happens locally on your device. We do not store, transmit, or back up any files or text you process. Features and tools may be added, modified, or removed at any time without notice.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, or infringing purpose.
  • Process, upload, or otherwise interact with content that you do not have the legal right to use.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, attack, reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the operation of the website, its security, or its underlying infrastructure.
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service in a way that degrades performance for other users.
  • Misrepresent your identity or impersonate any person or entity.
  • Remove or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices on the Service.
  • Use the Service to develop a competing product or to redistribute the Service in any form without written permission.

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate legal action against anyone who, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms.

4. Your content

You retain all ownership rights and intellectual property rights in any files, images, text, or other content you process using the Service (“Your Content”). Because Your Content is processed entirely in your browser, we never receive copies of it and we make no claim to ownership of Your Content.

You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have all necessary rights, licenses, and consents to process it.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, code, logos, branding, text, graphics, and software, is owned by Tools By White Screen and its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Except for the limited right to use the Service as expressly permitted by these Terms, we grant you no rights in or to the Service.

6. No warranty

The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, and uninterrupted availability.

We do not warrant that the Service will meet your specific requirements, that results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable, or that any errors will be corrected. You use the Service at your own risk.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Tools By White Screen, its operators, owners, affiliates, employees, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total cumulative liability arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed one hundred US dollars (USD $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tools By White Screen and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to (a) your use or misuse of the Service, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property or privacy rights.

9. Third-party services and advertising

The Service may include advertising served by Google AdSense and other third-party networks, as well as analytics provided by third parties. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party service or advertiser.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any feature, in whole or in part, at any time without notice and without liability to you.

11. Modifications to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will indicate the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted prominently on this page. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, including for any breach of these Terms. The provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability) will survive.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the competent courts of the operator's jurisdiction, except where local consumer-protection laws grant you a different forum.

14. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
